Helen of troy collection was “exhibited alongside the original Treasure of Troy at the Pushkin Museum”
Lalaounis created the Helen of Troy collection in the late 1980s. At the time, the actual “Treasure of Troy” discovered by Heinrich Schliemann had effectively disappeared after WWII. Lalaounis therefore reconstructed/reinterpreted the jewelry using Schliemann's excavation publication and the famous historic photograph of Schliemann's wife Sophia wearing the Trojan jewels.
Then comes the extraordinary part: the supposedly lost Trojan treasure resurfaced in Russia at the Pushkin Museum in the early 1990s.
And in 1998, Lalaounis's Helen of Troy creations were exhibited alongside the actual ancient Trojan treasures that had inspired them.
Separately, the Helen of Troy collection was exhibited at the Penn Museum in Philadelphia (and also exhibited in Houston).

About Our Brand
This is jewelry that remembers who you are. Jewelry that holds history, invites presence, and offers something real in a world that too often settles for the superficial. At Periergos Creative, we don’t just sell pieces—we unearth them, revive them, and return them to the hands of those they were meant for.
